March: Discovery Channel TV episode + short film shoot

Carrie joined the cast of Discovery ID’s Evil Twins and also worked on John Muth’s film Spin Cycle.


February: On Set for Valentine’s Day Short

Carrie worked on the special Valentine’s Day short film Compass Rose, directed by Vick Krishna.


November: Army Commercial with Mind and Media

Donning her first Army uniform, Carrie acted in an Armed Forces Services Corporation spot, which emphasized diversity, gender, race and neutrality.


October: Film Shoot with Sapling Pictures

Carrie acted in a unique and comedic short film ‘The Hangover Theory’, directed by the talented Keith Jodoin of Sapling Pictures.


September: Making a difference through Project Create!

Carrie was selected as a dance teacher for Project Create, a charity dedicated to “enrich[ing] the lives of children, youth and families experiencing homelessness and poverty using arts education as a tool to promote positive youth development.”


August: Marathon ’33 receives great reviews, is Helen Hayes recommended!

Carrie’s current show, Marathon ’33, was reviewed in DC Metro Theater Arts by David Friscic.  Her delivery of the song “It’s Only a Paper Moon,” was mentioned as one that was effective and “performed with aplomb…breath[ing] a nice note of relaxation into the frenetic proceedings.”  The show was also Helen Hayes recommended.


July/August: Acting, Dancing and Singing in Marathon ’33

Carrie appears as “Pinkie McGee” and “Nurse Judy” among a cast of talented local actors and dancers this summer to recreate a unique, interactive experience, allowing the audience member to be “transported back to the 30’s of the Great Depression, a spectator at a dance marathon, as exhausted and jobless competitors literally dance for their lives…”  See the American Century Theater website for more information.
